Studio背景
这个项目将依据竞赛的功能来重新讨论场地和设计之间最直接的关联，研究场地本身的特性以及对象特点，从中讨论设计的媒介。

This international one-stage architecture ideas competition invites all architecture and landscape architecture students, young architects and landscape architects, young professionals with a degree in architecture studies or landscape architecture studies (:5 40 years old) to develop and submit compelling ideas for the design of a Site Mirador located at the Zavial Battery, Algarve, Portugal.
The Zavial Battery remains are a significant landmark of great cultural heritage and historical significance with characteristics that must be fully preserved.
When generating a vision for an intervention located within such a remarkable place, it is essential that each design proposal emphasises, respects and celebrates the site and existing ruins, while providing a unique and memorable experience.
这项国际性的一级阶段建筑创意大赛邀请所有建筑和景观设计专业的学生、年轻建筑师和景观设计师、拥有建筑学或景观建筑学学位的年轻专业人士(年龄：5-40岁)为位于葡萄牙阿尔加维的Zavial Battery的Mirador遗址设计并提交令人信服的创意。
Zavial Battery遗址是具有重要文化底蕴和历史意义的重要地标，它的特征必须完好无损地保存下来。

Site：Zavial Battery, Algarve, Portugal
纬度：北纬37°02’40.83”，经度：西经8°52’33.06”。
海拔：14米，年总降水量417毫米。最干燥月份为8月，平均降水量0.3 mm, 11月降水量最高，平均59 mm。
相对湿度：平均相对湿度72%左右
风：主导风来自北方。

The Santo Ignacio do Zavial Fortress, located on the southwest coast of Portugal, between the beaches of Ingrina and Zavial, was built in the 17th century as part of the coastal defensive strategy to protect the Zavial harbor from the imminent danger of attacks and incursions. The Fortress collapsed in the 1755 earthquake and was never rebuilt.
In the second half of the 18th century, the Zavial Battery and small barracks located at the rear were built on the edge of a cliff near the Fortress remains. The battery was abandoned in 1840.
The Zavial battery, isolated in a prominent location, is a powerful natural scenery. The remains of the battery rise from the landscape and together with the fragile cliff edges eroded by the force of the ocean are notable features within this setting.

The Site Mirador offers a unique experience through time and memory. It is a powerful moment to increase and stimulate the senses, to feel the weight of the cliffs, the depth of the crevices, the strength of the water and the openness of the horizon; it is a place for contemplation and a landmark within the landscape. There are no limitations in height, excavation or extension beyond the cliff edges.

Notes:
Site Mirador的总体设计必须对周围环境敏感。现有的遗址可能会也可能不会包括在Site Mirador设计提案中。Site Mirador的空间可以合并和/或分隔。由于这是一场创意竞赛，城市规划和建筑法规将不适用于设计方案。
